stay in the moment, damn it

To myself, in yoga class:

"Should I force S. to do yoga?"

"I wonder what time it is."

"How long will it take to get good at this?"

"I think I'll add a little turmeric to the tomato sauce."

"Should I walk J-dog when I get in or clean up and make dinner, first?"

"Where does the day go?"

"I'm thirsty."

"She's much better at this than I am."

"I have to remember to send a cheque to school with D.s' picture order form."

"I really need to wash this yoga mat."

"I should blog about this."

I too was a yoga this morning - and missed the whole damn relaxazation (the best part) as I was making my "to do" list when I got outta there. That tells me ... I need to do more yoga!

damn, this is funny! we'll do yoga and play scrabble at the same time while you're here- oh and watch a movie while we at it, too. oh, and plan the next days activities... we're going to get along fabulously!

Oh I laughed - both at today's blog and the comments. Thanks. I always thought I was total loser at yoga and meditation, but now I know that the rest of the class is pretending too. It makes me feel so accepted in this world. :-)
Happy Tuesday to all!

hahaha.

yesterday i watched a *horrible* lifetime movie (it was dumb, really) but there was one funny part. these two friends were doing yoga and one was a busy, business woman and she kept saying, "i mean when is the instructor getting here? he's 5 minutes late... breathing? i can do breathing. what type of breathing?"

hilarious.

this is exactly what my mediation sessions are like.
it's like the most active ping pong game of thoughts. I think i think more during those 45 mins than throughout the whole day!! mostly, I'm thinking about the dirt I'm staring at on the floor rather than anything REALLY interesting...

Ha! My mind was doing the same thing in yoga class last night. Stupid mind! It never wants to shut up.
