Another NaBloPoMo cop out today, since I am so tired from my week end that I can barely see straight.
My nine year old brought this article in the New York Times Magazine to my attention. Seems that my children need to be protected from the Sesame Street I watched as a child.
I always thought that Bob guy was a little suspicious.

Oh Wow....such an interesting article! I love it! I must prefer the "gritty" days of the old-school Sesame Street to any happy-go-lucky Barney nonsense anyday!!
and who knew it all started on the actual day of my birth! wow, I feel honoured....I, too, like the older Sesame St...even Oscar!
Oh for goodness sakes. I watched Seasame Street like nobody's business. I think I am well adjusted (??). But always did wonder why only Big Bird could see Snuffleupagus.
I loved the old Sesame Street, too. The new muppets make my teeth hurt. And Elmo? Really annoying.
But I do have to admit that I was relieved when I learned that they decided to make the Snufflupagus (sp?) visible to all. That bit really upset me as a child - adults not believing kids about something they experienced.
I had read this article when it came out. And it generate a ton of conversation at my workplace.
All I can say is chalk it up as yet another reason why I'm unstable! Blame Big Bird! :)
