happy, happy, happy

I saw my oncologist today. He examined me and decided that he does not need to see me for two whole months.

This means that my weeks off will be genuinely 'off' from the cancer centre.

Even better, my lymph nodes all seem normal, my chest sounds clear and he couldn't even feel the edge of my liver.

What a difference a year (or even less) can make.

The nurse was commenting on how heavy my cancer centre file is.

I answered, "That's good. As long as it keeps getting heavier, it means that I'm still around."

I'm so glad things are going well for you. This certainly is a wonderful turn around from a year ago isn't it? I know miracles happen and you are living proof. I hope you continue to get good news from here on out. I love coming and reading your thoughts, you make it seem like I'm right beside you and since I started reading you, in a sense I am. Thanks for letting me share it with you. I know from expericening lung cancer and losing my mom last year to lung cancer, that this can be such a person battle, it's all in how you handle it. And you my friend have chosen the right road I think. You are giving so much of yourself thru your blogging, and I for one am grateful.

You are such a badass. You should have your own super-hero.

If your files that heavy, maybe they should consider dedicating a wing in your honor since you've spent so much time there! But thank heavens you won't have to be there for two entire months! Congratulations!

Well, I still have chemo but this means that I don't have to drag my ass into the doctor during my weeks 'off.' And I love the idea of my own wing.
And I love being called a badass. I am visualizing my superhero as I write this. She's a one-breasted warrior. And she's wearing really great boots.

Sister,
I raise my glass of merlot to you!
And you need killer jewelry that does amazing things--remember Wonder Woman had those fab bracelets that deflected bullets and that gold lame' lasso that could bind you and get you to tell the truth. Girl, you are fierce!
Love,
Babz
