reading deprived

I am still doing the Artist's Way.

Last week, I was supposed to do something called "reading deprivation."

I felt that it was asking way too much of myself to forego reading during a chemo week.

This week, I am taking a crack at it. I am allowed to answer emails, read to my son and read the comments on my blog (and, of course, to re-read my own writing).

I've been on starvation diets that are easier than this.

And cheated less.

What is the value of doing 'reading deprivation'

Reading deprivation ? Laura, I just read your posting on the KIT. I had no idea. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Who knows, if for whatever reason you ever need a place to crash in New York, for example. My place is yours. I'm best reached at gbenmark@yahoo.com

A good friend of mine from Israel has been battling skin cancer for the past 4 years. After doctors there had pretty much given up, he came to NIH (Washington DC) for an experimental treatment. It seems to be working, and he's in recovery now, it seems, but still around NIH.

All power to you for fighting hard. Wishing you a quick and thorough recovery. You're in my thoughts.

Gadi.
