not done yet: a giveaway

I'm feeling completely uninspired on the  blogging front, so I've decided to run my first ever contest.

Would you like to win a copy of my book, Not Done Yet: Living Through Breast CancerTo enter, just tell me why you'd like to have the book (it can be serious or funny) in the comments section and I'll pick a winner at random, on Friday, January 27th. Contest closes Thursday, January 26th at midnight.

There are only a few unsold copies left, so get one while you can.

In other news, I'm reliably informed that my publisher is planning on re-releasing Not Done Yet as an ebook. No more shipping costs!

Thanks! and ARGH!! It was working a month ago. I have no idea why it's stopped. I'll look into it.

Your book has been on my Amazon.ca wish list for years! I keep moving it into my cart, but then moving it back out because it "normally ships in two to three weeks," which would delay the rest of my order, and I've always got some kind of literary emergency in my cart that can't wait that long. I would LOVE to read your book. I really like reading books written by people I know, and although I've pieced together your story via the blog, I think it would be interesting to read the whole thing, starting from the beginning.

I have been meaning to order your book for some time. After everything I've gone through with my own cancer and subsequent treatment and fall out, I'm standing tall and yelling that "I ain't done yet!"

I also would love to have a copy of your book. I'm wondering how you will pick who the winner will be. Shortest comment? Longest? Smartest? Person you don't know? Never heard of? Farthest away? Best picture? Random? Out of a hat? Dart board? Flip a coin? The possibilities are endless!

Laurie,
I would absolutely love to win a copy of your book! I'm inspired by those who have a book completed as I am working on one myself! If I win, I'll add it to my resource page on my blog. I know, that's pure bribery, sorry. Anyway, count me in. Thanks!

I would love a copy because I have just completed treatment and I am trying to figure out how to live my life now that treatment is over without constantly worrying about recurrance.

I would like a copy because you write so well and are a sensible person, so it's bound to be a good book.

I'd love to have a copy of your book - both to read, myself, but also to give to the library at Pathways, a local org that provides wonderful services (support groups, healing touch, massage, etc) for people with cancer and other life-changing illnesses. It would be good to have a book around which gives hope without pushing the whole Pink Ribbon, Survivor, It's All About Positivity agendas...

Laurie I would love to receive a copy of your book! I am working with the BC Cancer Agency in creating a 'quiet room', a contempative space away from the noise of the patient ward. One of the things we're incorporating a library of inspiration reading, poetry, prose and other related topics. So while I see the contest closed last night - thought I try anyway!

Stay well
