RIP Emily

She was known as Sepha and her blog was Undone.

I have been meaning to email
her, send her a package, comment on her blog. I have been thinking of her lots.

Now we have lost another one. Another smart, funny, creative woman has succumbed far too young to cancer.

Life, sometimes is so unfair. And damn, I wish I had sent that package.

My heart goes out to her family and her Dear Other.

I hate cancer.

All Em's Guides have spent much of the evening hating cancer, being sad that she's gone, but loving Em.

Next week we'll head up to the heath, with some helium balloons, to send her the messages that we didn't manage to tell her while she was alive.

I miss her. She was much more than I'll ever be. And a brilliant friend.

Keep on keeping on.

And, Oh, I nearly forgot.

Her Dear Other proposed last week, and I wish you could have seen how happy she was, although very weak by then, and how she showed off the ring, extending her hand just so. That'll stay with me.

Thanks to you all, especially Sweet Camden Lass for those beautiful stories. I am so, so happy Dear Other proposed. Em was loved, that's for sure.

I actually bought a card for her yesterday and was going to pop it in the mail today. Something I've never done in the 3 years since my diagnosis is actually connect with one of the writers of bolgs that I follow. I think she touched a lot of people in her short life. My condolences to the family and friends she left behind.

Thanks Laurie, for appreciating Emily and what she was going through. And she was loved -- very much.
Yes, cancer is an incredibly awful experience for everyone it touches.
Good luck in all your endeavors.
