a bright light lost

Smart, funny, creative, talented Sara has passed away.

I only knew her as an online presence (although we did once spend more than an hour on the phone together) but I am grieving tonight and for all the people that love her.

I am told that Sara loved red wine and good tequila so if you partake of either of these tonight (and even if you don't) please raise a glass in her honour.

I am going to put on the lava earrings I bought from her (they are my favourites).

Damn. Cancer really sucks.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Laurie. We will lift a glass to Sara and all the hearts she touched.

Cancer sucks BIG TIME and it's going to get what it deserves.

I'm sending loving thoughts to all who are hurting from the loss of Sara.

I am so sorry, Laurie. I did raise a glass and thought of her and others who have left us too soon. Sending thoughts to you and those who loved her.

I didn't know Sara, and just read some of her blog entries when you linked to her. It's really sucky to read how positive she was feeling and how she was looking forward to the warmer weather so she could wear shorts. It was only January that she posted and she seemed to be feeling fine (I don't know her, so I was only going by her blog entries) and it's so shocking to find out that she went downhill so quickly after that last entry in January.

Cancer does seem to suck total ass. I'm sorry for Sara, and for all of her friends, near & far, who are having to deal with her loss.
