The snow has stopped but it was -39C (that's -38F) with the windchill.

O boy. Sounds like you need a recipe for Old-Dutch pea soup (or "snert"), a hearty and filling soup, with lots of vegetables and meat.. It goes along with ice-skating (for whuch I guess -39 is too cold) and winterweather. Let me know if you want it.

It just started snowing here an hour ago. Probably a different storm but definitely the same "way too cold" air mass. My Diezel doesn't have a heavy winter coat, so it's either quick trips or I bundle him up in a fleece coat. Aren't you glad your four legged companions have built in sweaters?

Ok you win. Your wind chill is worse. But I'm still freaking cold!

Stay warm, Laurie!

the snow came before the cold. now it's way too cold to snow!!!
and today i will have to walk them - a SHORT walk. although the little one, a Tibetan Terrier, doesn't seem to mind the cold at all.
and K- yes I want the soup recipe - it sounds like French Canadian pea soup. Is it made with ham?

Ugh, what disgustingly horrible weather. We were upset when it was dropping to about 30F every night for a couple of weeks. I don't know how we would handle 60 degrees+ lower.
